eGenoa Gives the Wicked Shamrock a New Look with Firestone Wraps

Wicked Shamrock

To celebrate and support the growing craft beer industry in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County, eGenoa has teamed up with Firestone Walker Brewing Company to provide some new flair for The Wicked Shamrock.

Based in Paso Robles, CA, Firestone has been around since 1996 and has grown into one of the area’s most popular breweries. Currently, it has two taprooms on California’s Central Coast, the “Barrelworks” taproom that makes small batches of barrel-aged sour beer, partnerships with international breweries, and distribution to many other states in the US.

eGenoa has partnered with Firestone Walker on multiple occasions in the past to create vehicle wraps for trucks and trailers, as well as other projects.

The Wicked Shamrock is a bar located in Lompoc, California, a town that is a short drive from the 101 freeway and a part of the up and coming craft beer, small winery, and artisan food culture in the area. The bar heavily features craft beer with a whopping total of 42 taps.

Of these,13 handles currently serve beer made by Firestone Walker. Bar owner, Ben, and the manager, Chris, have promised to reserve 9-10 handles for Firestone at all times.

The Wicked Shamrock Beer Board

With this strong connection between these two businesses and eGenoa, it was only natural that eGenoa work with Firestone Walker to dress up The Wicked Shamrock with branded graphic wraps. Heavily featured in these graphics is the popular 805 Blonde Ale, named for the area code that both Firestone Walker and The Wicked Shamrock share.

Our 3M Certified team installed vinyl wraps onto the bar where patrons enjoy their local brews. They also decked out the well-loved pool tables with photo graphics featuring 805 beer and celebrating the Central Coast lifestyle. Both the Firestone team and the owner and manager of The Wicked Shamrock were impressed by the smooth installation and high definition graphics.

4 Ways to Stay Healthy at a Tradeshow

Tuesday, July 28th, 2015

stay healthy at a trade show

There are so many things to remember when getting ready to exhibit at a trade show. We’ve discussed ways to use technology to give show-goers a memorable experience, which stunning trade show displays are available, and general pointers to have a more successful trade show experience.

The most important part of all, though, is taking care of your body.

If you are traveling a long way to your exhibit or if you have to deal with uncomfortable weather conditions, it’s extra important to take proactive steps to stay healthy and comfortable. (Disclaimer: we’re not doctors, so make sure these suggestions fit with your specific health and nutrition needs)

1) Keep fueled with healthy food and drink.
At such a hectic time, it can be tempting to swipe the first sugar-packed goodie that you see in the pastry case at the coffee shop across the street. All it takes is a little planning, though, to get yourself the fuel you need to stay on top of your health at the trade show. Start your day with a little bit of protein like a hard boiled egg and some complex carbohydrates. These will take a longer to break down, giving you energy over a longer period of time. Be sure to bring enough water while you’re on the trade show floor as well.

2) Keep your tootsies cushioned.
Maybe the chance to impress potential customers with your new pair of hot high heels or Italian dress shoes is too tempting to pass up, but now is not the time to bust out your James Bond persona. When you’re standing for hours, you want to go for comfort first. If you absolutely must wear shoes that are more style than substance, pick up inserts, moleskin, and a bottle of over-the-counter painkillers. Standing for hours can hurt more than your feet, so invest in cushioned flooring or a mat to put in your display area.

3) Sleep as much as possible.
Trade shows and conferences can bring out the party animal in the most sedate of people, but it’s also a time where rest is the most important thing you can do. Do what you need to do to get a good night’s rest, including bringing along earplugs or eye-masks.

4) Wash your hands!
You’ll be shaking lots and lots of strangers’ hands. You want their business, but you don’t want their germs. While it can be hard to avoid airborne viruses in airplanes, washing your hands often (or using hand sanitizer if you can’t get to a sink) is an easy way to protect yourself. That way, you are much less likely to bring a bug home to torment you over the next several weeks.

Sandprints Photography Vehicle Wrap

eGenoa knows talent and stunning visuals. So when Ginger of Sandprints Photography contacted the staff at eGenoa to come up with a plan to help her expand her visual presence around the Central Coast, it was a natural fit to pair the beautiful vistas and subjects of Sandprints Photography with the high-resolution vehicle wraps offered by eGenoa.

San Luis Obispo, CA

The Central Coast of California offers a wide variety of locales to utilize for a gorgeous photo shoot. From Hearst Castle to the Cayucos Pines, from the Paso Oaks to Pismo Beach, the Central Coast is home to some of the most stunning landscapes on the west coast and Sandprints Photography can use any locale as the backdrop for any special event that needs commemorating.

San Luis Obispo California Central Coast

Just as Sandprints Photos uses this amazing scenery, eGenoa places crisp, clean, long-lasting vehicle wraps on the highways and byways that crisscross the entire region. Your company vehicles can become a moving work of art amidst some of the most recognizable monuments in the area.

The beautiful California Central Coast can act as a striking and memorable backdrop for your vehicle graphics – highlighting and showcasing your brand or service.

Imagine your vehicle parked in front of Morro Rock, or highly visible amidst the hustle and bustle of San Luis Obispo’s world famous Thursday Night Farmers’ Market.  Your business’s image can be seen cruising down the gorgeous Highway 1 or 101, or making the trek to the state’s farmland.  The roads of the Central Coast are almost as well-known as the landmarks they connect.  Your corporate logo can become a staple along the El Camino Real or passing the landmark Fremont Theater on Monterey Street.

Whether you are trying to reach the everyday commuter or the plethora of weekend cyclists training for Wildflower or Lighthouse, vehicle graphics from eGenoa can turn your business fleet into mobile billboards that fit in at any event or in any parking structure. Turn your business trip to Bakersfield into an advertising opportunity, just as you can for a typical trip to the bank. Let your fellow Central Coast residents know that you are a part of the region as much as the San Luis Bay Pier or Morro Bay Wharf. The key difference is your visual statement is not limited to a single location; take your advertising on the road and make a change to your bottom line. eGenoa is here to help!!

Working With Industry Leaders to Further Education

Cal Poly Lab Construction Graphics

Living on the Central Coast affords many perks to the community—temperate weather, stunning views, friendly people, and a great opportunity for education.  With a world-class university right here in San Luis Obispo that offers degrees in many construction disciplines, it was a natural fit for eGenoa to work with Simpson Strong-Tie to revolutionize the educational setting on campus.

Cal Poly offers one of the best construction-based educations in the nation, with many industry leaders hand-picking the cream of the crop from every year’s graduating class.  Many companies have taken a hands-on approach to educating the future of the industry by aiding in the design and construction of new buildings on campus.

In recent years, the Cal Poly campus has been the recipient of a new Construction Innovations unit created with the combined skills and talents of Simpson Strong-Tie and eGenoa.  The diverse and creative elements of the building were created by Simpson Strong-Tie, but it is the state-of-the-art graphics and wraps that truly bring the educational setting to life.  These images give depth and focus to the classrooms and field-experience settings and help the students gain the most hands-on education they can through the university’s motto of “Learn by Doing.”

Helping the Community Feel Good, as Well as Look Good

Tuesday, November 25th, 2014

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of SLO County

As a graphics company, it is eGenoa’s mission to make the businesses of the community and beyond look the best they can.  Our signs and vehicle graphics are tailor-made to deliver the exact message you wish to exhibit to your customers.  But as the holidays draw near, it is also the mission of this locally-based company to make a difference and help the community grow strong for years to come.

eGenoa achieves this lofty promise by reaching out into the community and doing what it can to aid the youth of today as they strive to become the leaders of tomorrow.  eGenoa has partnered with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo to bring local high school students together to learn exactly what it is that eGenoa does and how it serves the community.  Over the course of six weeks the students were able to learn the ins and outs of the graphics business, from design and art, to printing and manufacturing.  This hand in hand tutorial allowed the students to become familiar with a marketable skill of a local company, and create their very own sign to take home.

This program also benefited the eGenoa company by giving it the opportunity to mentor the future work force of the Central Coast and help ensure the prolonged productivity of our small corner of the globe.  The Big Brothers & Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo have been offering the gift of mentorship to the youth of the Central Coast for years and eGenoa is very proud to have joined in this noble effort – allowing young people to develop skills and find outlets other than those that may lead to a difficult path.

eGenoa is looking forward to many more partnerships with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo, and numerous other organizations that make a point of strengthening this incredible community in which we all live.  But for now, take this time of the holidays to enjoy your own family and friends and know that eGenoa will always do its part to help the community become stronger and better displayed as we approach the new year.

Happy Holidays from the eGenoa family!!
